This page describes the guest course advisor, anonymous website totals and optional journey analytics on ekenlab.com. Updated October 6, 2026.
What we save
Your messages, the advisor replies, stated preferences, recommendations, and conversation revisions are stored on EkenLab’s server. They restore your conversation and help us understand demand for future courses. A copy of the conversation is also kept in EkenLab’s analytics archive (see Analytics and device details). No name or email is required. Avoid confidential, sensitive, or unnecessary personal information.
How AI processing works
Messages and relevant conversation context are sent to OpenAI to generate replies. We request that responses are not stored through the API (store: false); provider security and abuse-monitoring retention may still apply. AI output can be incorrect.
Retention and deletion
This website keeps the conversation for 30 days after the last successful message so it can be restored; scheduled cleanup removes it within an hour of expiry. The copy in EkenLab’s analytics archive is kept until it is deleted: use Conversation options → Clear conversation, which deletes both the website history and the archive copy immediately, or email support@ekenlab.com. Deleting the browser cookie alone does not delete server history.
Anonymous website traffic
Our server counts successful page loads regardless of the optional journey-analytics choice, including visits without JavaScript. We keep hourly totals by public page and broad traffic source, with recognized bots counted separately. These totals contain no IP address, browser or account identifier, advertising click ID, complete query string or fingerprint. Repeat loads are counted and are not unique visitors. The totals cannot be linked to your registration or purchase. Pending totals remain on this website until sent to EkenLab’s own application server. Local published totals are retained for 180 days; aggregated reports in the application remain available for historical comparison. Optional journey analytics below has its own consent choice.
Analytics and device details
Always stored in the archive: the conversation, your stated preferences, the recommended course or unmet request, your browser and operating system, device type, preferred language, the country derived from your IP address, a salted one-way hash of that IP address, and the page and campaign you arrived from. Only if you choose Allow in the chat notice: your full IP address, approximate city and region, screen size, time zone, device characteristics, and a browser fingerprint. Your choice is remembered for 12 months in the eken_analytics_consent cookie. Change it at any time with About this AI chat & your data → Change analytics choice; choosing Only necessary removes the extra details from the archived conversation. Authorised EkenLab staff may review archived conversations, including with AI tools that never receive your IP address, city, or fingerprint.
Optional journey analytics
Only after you choose Allow journey analytics, we record page visits, course and advisor interactions, campaign tags and advertising click identifiers. A secure HTTP-only browser cookie lasts up to 30 days and links these events to your registration, learning and purchase records in the app after you sign in. We do not include chat messages, email addresses, raw IP addresses or device fingerprints in journey events. Collection starts when you allow it; earlier visits or advertising sources may be unavailable. Your choice is saved for 30 days in eken_journey_consent and is independent from the advisor device-detail choice. Change it using Journey analytics settings at the top of any website page. Only necessary stops new optional events and clears the website journey cookie; it does not remove earlier server records. To request deletion of earlier journey records, contact support@ekenlab.com. Existing journey records remain until deleted. Registration and billing records remain available for operating your account.
Essential cookie
A secure, HTTP-only cookie identifies this browser’s guest conversation for up to 30 days. It does not sign you into the learning app. You can copy the conversation before clearing it.
Abuse prevention
We keep short-lived request counters, using a keyed hash of the client IP address rather than the raw address in the advisor database. Limits apply per visitor and across the public service. The web server may keep IP addresses in operational access logs for troubleshooting.
The learning app
Links to app.ekenlab.com open a separate application with its own account and data practices. This website does not enroll you, and your guest conversation is not moved into an app account. Its archive copy is stored by EkenLab and is available only to administrators.
